sorry i still have yet change my skin... coz i've got no good idea wad to change it to... so oh well..

long time since i blogged... a lot have happened... but im still me! still sux at bball...
i know i shouldnt really blame the fact that i haven been to any training b4 coz there are really a lot of pros out there that train themselves, but... im just finding another reason for being such weakling. everytime i want to train myself... after few days the motivation just die off... *snap* just like that... then that marks the downfall of mE! then the team jersey i've been looking forward to is here... but it makes no big different... my team is still not like other team. i guess this wasnt really wad i tot it will turn out to be... but (oh well) that's the fact and no way i can change it. there's once i told myself that i wont spend time training bball, just play when i feel like playing, but when i feel like playing, im totally noob. then the last friendly we had with Meteor, we won, sheer luck. we have more than 10 players for the whole game when they only got 5 (no subs). and we only win by not a lot (cant remember). i tot we really shd have just lose that game and maybe pple will realise the need for training! but i doubt so now... since it doesnt seem like bball means a lot to many of them. i dunno how much bball means to me, but i guess it shd be a lot. bball is what i wanted to learn and if i give up now, i guess i wont accomplish anything in future. but is that true? i dunno... i became outgoing after i start to bball. i start to have lots of friends after i start to bball. good things start to happen... bad things too... bball make me feel weak... make me feel inferior especially when seeing those pros are younger than me. those that were noobs then when i start bball, now is flying high when im still crawling. jiazhi and raven became spirit of their WGS team. junxiong playing for CSC... junwei RI main 5, so on... it really feels quite bad... perhaps its the fact that i have no talent and i din work hard... sigh... the worse thing happened during my first bball trip to sengkang. i made yp lost to 2 according to yp noob player. somehow i think... if yp solo them 2 he can win, its becoz of me he lost. he's too good to lose to such noobs. when another guy came, he asked for 3v3. we played 2 rounds. i still sux. xp and yp could have trashed them without me. but everytime they pass to me... i made us lose possessiong. bad memories. although i promise it wont happen again... but i doubt so... throughout these years... i never forget that i want to be a good pointguard, but i really doubt i can become 1. shootingguard maybe... but i need to be accurate at all time. i really thought shooting isnt cool enough.. or am i wrong? sam says that one doesnt need to know a lot of moves... training a single moves that always work is more effective. i know shooting always works when im able to get rid of defender, but its cool? drive to the hoop is cool but i cant.. i dunno if this works.. but getting a training buddy wud be cool! but i doubt i will ever find 1... this sux

when i was playing bnet (wc), i got to know of this guy call geoffreaky... he's kinda cool, at least when i chat with him through msn, he did reply :)

he knows how to play guitarso cool.. e thing i had hoped to learn well. i have a guitar.. and it s rotting at home now..

when im bored i like to disturb him in msn lolx! hope he dun find it irritating/annoying/disturbing/... etc :D

hope to have more of such friend.. wonder if i go oversea will he be my tourguide wahahha (tt's if i ever had the chance to...)

went bball happily after last paper, din expect myself to play so badly... yengpeng keep giving casual comments. dunno did he say it for fun or he really mean it, but it just keeps ringing in my ear. im so noob im so noob im so noob. untill i really cannot take it le, i let leongkiat play.

everytime when i dun see someone for long time, they just become better at bball. but i keep playing and i getting worse and worse, day by day. this sux to MAX!

Warcraft and Basketball: i am NOOB~ :D

seeing junwei and yengpeng play so good at basketball, and also now i'm constantly losing in warcraft, i realise that im noob at both.

however, im not upset of it as b4...

everyone left, the court is empty. i wanted to go home too. but then i din want to go home without learning anything. so i went 515 court to see if kaihong and his friend playing not. i like the way they play basketball, not noob, nor pro, but cool. sadly they were not there. so i went back to fragrant RC and sat there to review what i saw today from everyone i played bball with. but i think i probably will forget wad i see. so i decided to pester jiazhi to teach me something!~ lol dunno will he...

kaihong eugene jk, guard + shooter + center... i can see they will get very power~! tml is last day of jinhui's stay... after which i doubt anyone will come down le.. except wgs people. i hope i can play with kaihong they all and try to improve from there. :) wish me luck~

warcraft... after jinhui is back to work.. no friend to play with le... hope geoffreaky dun mind playing with a noob like me XD. but if he wont play, then i'll probably leave warcraft for the time being, coz final year project starting soon. i only got 2 more months to do what i want to do. when fyp starts, i'll probably be very bz with the MMO my grp is making. heez so if i leave warcraft, i got more time for bball!~

yeah! tt's my plan for the next day as from now.

Blender together with me!

hmm... i always wanted to make a game myself and sell it, but i couldnt possibly afford software like 3D Studio Max... until few years back when i found Blender3D.

it was a rather scary program to look at back then. it looks like if you dont know how to use it, you will never learn how to. but last year it released its version 2.3x. interface changes greatly and now it becomes fully customizable. and 1 more thing i found out today: the whole interface is rendered with OpenGL in realtime! (meaning its rendered when u sees it)

oh well... interface is one thing. another good thing i found out after watching like 8 video tutorials and doing a few practical tutorial was, its actually a 3D Studio Max + Premiere + some game engine + lots more!!~ the one distinct difference between it and 3DSMax is probably 3DSMax has lots of useful modifiers like flex... can't remember already, but anyway, i've yet seen Blender modifier (or equivilent) in action.

hmm my first contact with 3D modelling is Extreme3D by macromedia long long time ago, but the software im learning in school is 3DSMax. hmm i had a really bad time with 3DSMax as it crash very often... really very often... and also i tried to use Character Studio for my animation assignment but it just doesnt work right. probably is because im too stupid? lolx

oh oh back to blender. almost 100% of the control in Blender can be access through shortcut keys. those keys are very straight forward: like G for grab an object and move around, R for rotate, S for scale, arrows on numberpad to rotate viewport so on... long list of them so i'll list a few only.

another very useful feature is layers. there's 20 layers available for you to store the object in. you can have a layer for background, one for every character... then u can choose to see only objects in a particular layer or in a few of them. this could come in handy when doing animation of a complex scene.

talking about scene.. during the period of my animation assignment, lot of people asked: do we have to do whole animation in 1 .max file or do 1 scene in each? well the answer if we were using Blender is: all scene should be in a .blend file! .blend format for Blender stores practically everything of a project. sound file, video file, text file... models, materials, texture maps... all sorts of stuff! you can tell Blender to save every few minutes, up to over 100 backups! (eg. test.blend.001, test.blend.002, ..., test.blend.101, test.blend.102) no more worries if texture maps are not found when opening .blend file on another machine!

the interface may require a little bit of time to get use to, but generally quite user friendly (if you spend time reading beginner's guide). I strongly encourage you guys to explore this great product out there.

actually i wished that my group would do a MMORPG for FYP, but seems like i can't convince them to. so as for now i would like someone would learn blender with me and we could try to do something with it. hmm... im probably gonna learn server programming this semester. hope that mr see knows server programming and is willing to get me started with it... haha haven ask so dunno. (last night i dreamt that i asked him and he agreed to teach me server programming ahaha weird dream eh?) i read somewhere that a running mmorpg was started with a programmer and an artist. cool eh?! i hope i could do that before i goes into Manhood (national service :/ ) seems rather impossible... but like from what i learn in basketball, never give up! if i had given up basketball i would have probably gave up this idea too. so must believe that everything is possible, that's a condition for miracle to appear~ wahaha

First weekend of the year

Its IGRA lecture now and as bored as usual im here!

Wooo first weekend of the year is cool for me as i spent it with my friends and rain lolx. Saturday noon time, i started on my journey to somewhere far far away to have my lunch. Actually not very far... half an hour of walking. After my lunch, i loitered around Fragrantwoods and wait for my friend's sms. Ah... that day was a rainy day (damn it, its been raining for like a week already and its still gonna rain today). Well, at least for saturday there's a period of time when it didnt rain. I manage to shoot a few balls without getting myself drench.

Waited and waited...

Ah~ around 5 finally recieved sms to have dinner first before we go to an uncle house for mahjong. (anyway i dont gamble with money) Nakama lend me money for dinner as i actually only brought enough for lunch. but strange thing... he always lend me money but doesnt want me to pay him back... at least when i returns him, he did not want to take :/.

Mahjong for very very long...

Around 4.30am finally ended the mahjong session. Both my eyes are very very red... almost like RGB #FF0000. Upon dismiss, nakama asked if i want to take a nap at his house first as we're going to basketball in the morning. But i didnt know why, but i didnt go. Walking and walking slowly home, i wished i had went his house as im almost dead walking that long long way home. A miralcle appeared: I reached home! I didnt want to sleep as im afraid i cant wake up in time for basketball, so i waited. from 5am - 6.20am, i was playing the new game i downloaded. Suddenly, i heard rain from beyond the window, and that's very bad, very very bad. No more basketball.

Sunday, i had lunch and dinner with my friends. Somehow to me, i like having meals with friends as i dont quite enjoy eating alone or with my pc.

Mahjong again...

After dinner and gotten my One piece back from nakama, home sweet home!~

When i reach home and start browsing blogs, i noticed that Benjamin and Darrell is so free that they posted more than 2 journals in a day lolx. Benjamin good luck for the ICT site!

Weeeee the long awaited 2005 is here! Happy New Year to all that visits this humble blog of mine~

new year have new resolutions:

Be more sociable. Make more friends!
Have a website of my own so i can update it when im too bored.
Make a MIDlet for my E398 so i could sent notes to others through BlueTooth.
Do my best in the coming assignments as well as FYP.
Dont be late! (this was my new year resolution last year... the year before that... and... actually that's my NYR for quite a few years already :D)

That's kind of lots to do for a year... well i can always forward it to next year~ lolx just kidding.

Hmm... some wishes... hope everyone tries their best in their assignments. The very last thing one should do is let their team members regret taking him/her in... so be cool!

Hope that there's no more Tsunami incident. Too much deaths somehow make this festive season rainy. (sad)

If possible let me meet someone i like :blush: lolx.

Oh... and most importantly, good luck to me in my basketball. I must get very strong before FYP so i can play less basketball and work more on FYP.

if i din remember wrongly... 2 of them got back to good friends again~ hooray~ and... haiz... sad to say this class of mine is starting to have internal conflict... i hope this is my wrong opinion... o, and also the FYP caused some problem with the grping as usual... but now its fixed already

As for me as me...

this 6 mths ive been thru quite a lot... but at least i notice some impt things~ hmm many of these day im down, very and im started to be more and more quiet... but i manage to got back to now me. still im quite used to being quiet and my reflexes in conversation got lowered(?)... most significant is i start to talk softer now... but tt's better than not talking rite?

as for things i found out... i got some really cool friend ard me tt i realised during sad days. i really really feel like thanking them for being such cool friendz but like they (as in those cool friendz) always says "What are friends for?" really enjoyed pouring my prob at them (haha).

now...

i find it really hard to start a conversation with them now... like there's no topic to talk about. somehow i feel that the phrase "rain or shine" doesnt work on my good friends... and they dun really seems to have any prob... or they nv did tell me. either way its like they r there only in the rain... when im happy... cant start a conversation... weird eh? hope they dun mind me not chatting with them online/offline... coz i really tried to... (sorry for my fragmented sentences)

as for from now on...

i guess ill be training my bball b4 fyp starts... and probably start wasting sms as i got a new line and phone!!!

my handphone pouch

today i went to school, like to show everyone my handphone pouch

first reaction from everyone was: so jiawen. hmm quite unexpected though. i thought the design and color should make them say something like...: so qiuhua. haha.

i was all along searching for a word to describe the pouch when finally thanks to gabriel i found 1: Oustanding. maybe its because i really like to be outstanding that i bought the pouch but either way i cant throw it away... i spent my lunch money on it, $4.90!!! i really didnt understand why i would buy such expensive thing for my E398. perhaps i really treasure my phone.

1 thing i dont understand is: the pouch is definitely cute, some of my friends agreed but whats wrong with a guy having a cute pouch for his dear phone? haha perhaps without those cute stuff on guys make them more manly(?). but o well its not like the first time i got something cute with me to school... and also my wallet is already quite cute (bob dog... you must be like... WTH! a poly guy with a bobdog wallet?! lol~), so actually i cant really be bothered about how people sees it... i guess (and hope). 1 thing for sure... there must be a limit to it. for sure i cant carry a pink bag around in sch right? its very... gay? haha oh and 1 last thing for today... i realise a blue tshirt i bought long ago was actually purple... dont dare to wear it out anymore... (all thanks to my color blindliness, if there's such a word) woohoo hope tomorrow is a cool day! weeee tomorrow's new year eve~ so what's your new year resolution?

today is a boring day...

i woke up kinda early, but i really do not feel like going to school so early. I took my own sweet time preparing my stuff, took a really freezing cold shower and finally managed to get out of my house at 8.10am.(i used to shower like 4 times a day, but now a days due to the freaking weather... i try not to shower too often and btw, school starts at 8am fyi).

just like every other days, when i reach the mrt i found out that i forgot my wallet. i was like... awh man~ not again... but what can i do? thanks to this happening, i was late for even my 9am class.

skip all the classes to talk about my PT lunch! wow a day at pizza hut without spending any money. its a cool gathering for my class... somehow feel that once again everyone is together. this feeling wasnt around for a while now. oo...ooh terence started of his lunch with 2 bowl full of food cool eh? after that he ate 3 pizza. that's really like hmm.. 10 servings? haha~ and darrell carries a jar on the back of his hand!!! i dont know how to explain this... have to see it to really believe it i'll post a pic next time he does it~

fast forward...

school ended... i went to causeway to look for sasuke keychain but found none. after that i went to the basketball court to watch kids play basketball. somehow i feel that i can only learn things from kids as kids tend to do cool move in slow motion. hmm... o..oh my main point is, i hanged around there for quite a while. 4.30pm ~ 7 i think... then i went searching for a handphone pouch for my e398.

searched everywhere then realise theres only like 1 brand for handphone pouch all sold at 4.90. this means my lunch money for tomorrow is gone... sigh... tomorrow is a sad day. a day without lunch money is always sad. anyway i finally got 1 near my house. although it look quite ok to me, but i think tomorrow in school everyone will start commenting it. so im prepared for the worst.

looking back at what i typed... i see that actually i dont have a main point. but o well this is my first post!! welcome me to the Bloggers community
